Personal Development for Teens
I currently offer “The Foundations”, a 15 session course designed to address multiple dimensions of a teen’s wellness.
Through the Foundations, I help the young people I work with to fully recognize the unique gifts that they have been given and provide them with the tools needed to navigate the challenges presented by an increasingly complex world.
Sessions last 80 minutes
Sessions are ideally scheduled for 1x per week
Sessions always begin with a physical component (a training session specific to the client) .
Each session focuses on a particular dimension of wellness or personal development tool. Although the Foundations course will cover each of the topics listed below, the depth and duration of each topic varies depending on the needs of the client.
Clients will leave with “intentions” each week - typically connected to the focus of that session. They will track growth/challenges in each of these areas outside of sessions.
A 15 session breakdown of the Foundations is as follows:
Session 1: Introduction to the Course & Building Rapport
Sessions 2 and 3: Better Understanding of the Self and Developing a Personal Mission StatementSessions 4 and 5: Goal Setting and Intentions
Session 6: Building Self-Discipline
Sessions 7 and 8: Tools for High Performers; Time Management, Enhancing Focus, and Routines
Sessions 9 and 10: The Physical - Fuel, Movement, Rest.
Sessions 11 and 12: The Mental and Emotional - Awareness and Management Techniques
Sessions 13 and 14: The Social - Tech Use, Connecting with Others, Communication Skills
Session 15: Gratitude and Joy
I am available to continue work with clients beyond the initial 15 session package. This is typically discussed near the culmination of the Foundations course.
